Pudurnadu is a Village in Alangayan Taluk in Vellore District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It is located 86 KM towards South from District head quarters Vellore. 30 KM from Alangayan. 215 KM from State capital Chennai. Nellivasalnadu ( 9 KM ) , Kurumberi ( 10 KM ) , Matrapalli ( 10 KM ) , Simmanapudur ( 11 KM ) , Bommikuppam ( 11 KM ) are the nearby Villages to Pudurnadu.

Pudurnadu is surrounded by Tiruppattur Taluk towards west, Jolarpet Taluk towards North, Uthangarai Taluk towards west, Alangayan Taluk towards North. Tirupathur, Vaniyambadi, Tiruvannamalai , Polur are the nearby Cities to Pudurnadu. This Place is in the border of the Vellore District and Tiruvannamalai District. Tiruvannamalai District Jawathu Hills is north towards this place. Around 200 families are there in the village. Nearly 30 Students are studying in this centre. Parents are engaged in daily wages and agriculture work. Students are coming from nearby schools (Panchayat Middle School, Keelanur, Govt Higher Secondary school, Pudurnadu.

Foundation started Rural Tuition centre on October 2011. This Centre managed by volunteer Teacher R.Sriraman, B.Lit, B.ed. Students study their daily school lessons. Students encouraged and get guidance from the teacher.

I am Pavithra, student of Rural Tuition Centre run by Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation in our Pudurnadu Village. My Parents Mr.Sokka, Mrs.Suloksana is working as farmer. I have one elder and younger sister. I am doing 8th Standard in Govt Higher Secondary School,Pudurnadu. I study daily school lessons in the centre. Mr.sriraman, my Tuition teacher are very supportive and help us to study well. Not only in academics but also in extra activities, spoken English, drawings, sports,etc… I thank Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation for running the Tuition Centre in our Village and for the valuable opportunity.
