Kavasampattu is a village located 18 kms from Vellore District. The village is a home for about 300 Families who are predominantly Daily wages and Agriculture stands as their main livelihood. Since October 2011, Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation holds a Rural Tuition Centre in the village to aid the students in education.

Mr. J.Velmurugan, MA, Msc and Mrs. N. Lavanya, BA, B. Ed are volunteer-teacher who teach the 45 students by aiding them in teaching their school lessons every day and clarify their doubts. The center also encourages and motivates the students in extra activities during weekends and maintains the students’ academic performance. Due to the calm and serene environment, the students show keen interest and attend the sessions regularly.

Among the 45 students, R. Vaishnavi, the daughter of Mr. S.Ravi, daily wage worker has scored 468 out of 500 in SSLC exam (March 2016). Currently, she is studying 11th Standard in Jain Vardhaman Matric Higher Seconday School. She will appear Class 12 Board Exam in March 2018. She is hoping to score good marks and is thankful to the center which is operated by Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation.
