Education shows a way to better life. Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation is giving educational assistance to students of Below Poverty Line families who secure well in the higher secondary examination. The Foundation selects the deserving students and enrolls them in the desired courses in the preferred educational institutions. The total fee amount for the entire course is sponsored by the Foundation.
In the first year of establishment of this scheme, 62 deserving students were selected and given educational assistance. This year (2011) , we have selected 84 students totally – B.Tech-36, BBA-1, BSc Nursing-3, B.Pharm-3, BPT-5, BSc Bio Tech-4, BSc Micro Biology-4,BSc Comp Sc-1, B.Ed-27. Among these students, most of their family’s monthly income is between Rs. 2000 and Rs. 4000/-. Students who were selected for joining engineering stream secured more than 1000 marks. The information regarding this scheme can be obtained from Puthiya Thalaimurai magazine during every May and June.
